Politicians don’t get it.
However you may feel or whatever you may think about politicians, this certainly is one epic example of them not getting IT. They don’t comprehend their job.
SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) — A Maryland state delegate who called for “DUI” license plates that would be issued to people convicted more than once of drunken driving has been charged with driving under the influence himself.
This is pretty basic stuff. If you’re against drunk driving and attempting to institute this kind of sweeping labeling of drunk drivers, you probably shouldn’t get caught doing the same thing, let alone doing it at all.
THIS is why the country is going to shit. How epically stupid can you get?  This is your country America, going down the shitter. Stop voting for these idiots. Or just stop voting.
If you’re online, you’re probably an idiot.
Sadly, a recent study confirms that sadly, most people online are idiots.
The authors, who work in the Psychology Department of North Carolina State University, crafted a set of four fake dialog boxes. All of them contained the following warning: “The instruction at ‘0×77f41d24 referenced memory at ‘0×595c2a4c.’ The memory could not be ‘read.’ Click OK to terminate program.” One of the warnings was indistinguishable from the standard Windows XP system dialog, but the remaining three were had a number of warning signs that should tip off users to potential malware.
I’m sorry, I really am!
One way ticket, please.
I can’t help but laugh at this headline, the article, the situation, and the lack of details in the article.
A MAN who plunged 25ft down a lift shaft had his fall broken by a woman who had fallen down the day before.
Jens Wilhelms, 27, managed to free himself from the shaft at the apartment block in Frankfurt, Germany, where he lived.
But the 57-year-old woman he landed on was badly injured and is critical in hospital.
…
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything, and I don’t really have anything to post about right now.  Well, I probably do, but I’m too lazy.
So whatever. Drop me a line.
Peanut Butter Snickers is back!
After over 10 years on hiatus the PB Snickers bar is back! If anyone remembers the original, you know how damn good they were. It’s being advertised as Nut ‘n Crunchy this time. Unfortunately instead of a smoother filling that originally there are chunky peanuts in there, which obviously is one of the main ingredients of a Snickers bar. However the candy is not quite as smooth to eat this time. I think they’ve overdone the peanuts, but it’s definitely a nice nostalgic throwback. Limited time only!
Headline of the year!
Report: Monkeys attack deputy mayor.
Bonus: Over the years, city authorities have employed monkey catchers who use langurs — a larger and fiercer kind of monkey — to scare or catch the macaques, but the problem persists

Tech Savvy kids are idiots.
I came across two things today that irritated me before 9am. I had the first irritable encounter when driving to work. I was listening to a local morning radio show and the topic for the morning was how integrated kids were with tech gadgetry such as mp3 players, cell phones, etc. Normally they have people call in to give their experiences and opinions on these topics. One of the callers was a teacher and she was discussing how she’s constantly having to confiscate these toys from kids and such. She went on to mention that when she teaches (history) the kids are completely dumbfounded that gadgets like cell phones didn’t exist in the past. It just screams naivety to me. As a kid myself I was generally aware of technology and history and that certain things were relatively “new”, especially when I was in school. The modern cell phone is roughly 15 years old, but didn’t really become mainstream until around 1998 or 1999. That’s not even 10 fucking years ago, and these kids were alive then, so how in the hell can they not grasp this?
This irritation leads into a second one which is derived from an xkcd comic strip. My actual complaint is not about people calling the Moon landing a hoax (that’s entirely other bitch session), but rather the inane types of responses you do actually get to this which eventually at some point someone will say “It was all computer generated, they can do anything on the computer.” The agitation point may not be obvious but I’ll explain Main stream society is getting dumber by the minute en masse, to the point that anything anyone sees on tv or in the movies anymore that doesn’t seem possible or real is immediately dubbed CGI or “It’s fake, they did it with a computer.” This flabbergasts me because movie special effects have been around since movies themselves, which pre-date computers. Being the knowledge whore that I am I’ve also had much education with many movies and their special effects techniques and on many occasions have experienced people say these things about movies and such that I know for a fact had nothing to do with CGI. Perfect example, the Honda Cog commercial. No CGI was used for this, yet a ton of people believe it was. And some say the same about the moon landing. The types of people that spout this crap really annoy me. Am I being too harsh? Most likely. That is my nature, of course. However for the love of whatever god you believe, do some research. Educate yourself before making claims you can’t prove to be true. And get some personal responsibility and get the hell off my lawn.
